How It Works

“In displaying the psychology of your characters, minute particulars are essential. God save us from vague generalizations!” – Anton Chekhov

When you book in for a session, we’ll ask you a few questions about your character before matching you with a Fiction Therapist.  You and the therapist can then arrange a session at a time that suits you.  All of our therapists are currently London-based; locations vary depending on the therapist’s practice.  Skype sessions can be arranged if preferable.

Before your session we will send you some guidelines, explaining what you can expect and how you can prepare.  The session itself will be a mutual process of character exploration and development and will last 50 minutes.

After the session, you will be sent a 2000-word ‘Consultation Report’ with an in-depth analysis of your character.  Reports are based on real therapeutic assessments, but will be as clear and comprehensible as possible – so not too technical!  You should receive your report within two weeks of your assessment.

The combined fee for this 50-minute session and report is £250.
